Nicole Johnsey Burke

Meet Nicole, Founder of Gardenary!
Three Published Books
Nicole has authored three books that form a complete kitchen gardening library — from designing your first raised bed to harvesting fresh food every day of the year. At their heart, all three teach that growing your own food is one of the most beautiful, grounding, and accessible things a person can do.

The Start of Something Beautiful...
Before her first garden, Nicole studied accounting and mathematics, then spent nearly a decade in international philanthropy and community development work overseas.
Gardening found her in 2011, when she was back in the USA, pregnant with her 4th child, and quietly searching for something to call her own. Starting from a single $450 preschool refund check, Nicole built what would become Gardenary — a 7-figure brand and global movement dedicated to making organic kitchen gardens both breathtakingly beautiful and genuinely productive.
What started as a small raised bed became a mission: make gardening ordinary again.
